Our Jersey Rose Veal is bred, reared and butchered by Neil Weston at Kersdown Barton Farm where a herd of Pedigree Jersey Dairy cows are milked and for several years the Jersey bull calves are reared to produce the most delicious Rose Veal.
Neil says "Jersey and Guernsey bull calves produce lean Rose Veal, instead of having them suffer the same fate as many other dairy bull calves by being shot at birth. The calves are reared outdoors in the summer in groups of 24, and indoor in huge straw courts in the winter in groups of 12. They are fed milk twice a day plus a heatlhy diet of grass, our own hay
